Ellen: It looks like you are on the right path. Simply realizing that it is possible to connect with your audience is the first step in being able to do it. The details of how it's done can take a lifetime to master, but that's ok -- we get just a little bit better every time we give a speech. Use your passion to be successful in all that you do!

Hi Jim,

I found you through Alan Michaels' LI group, Corporate Planning & Global Industry Segmentation. I like the topic of charisma in life and am enjoying your blog. You can learn how to be a charimatic speaker by thinking about things in your life that make you so excited, and think of a good story that will draw your listeners in emotionally right at the start. And listen listen to your audience by reading their expressions as you speak and ask them questions to engage them. Most of us aren't Martin Luther King or John Kennedy, so we have to work harder since we don't have that name recognition.

A book that I enjoyed on presentations is "Advanced Presentations by Design" by Dr. Andrew Abela. The theme is being persuasive and I think that's a good fit for your focus based on checking out your blog here.

My passion in business life in cooperative intelligence which integrates leadership, connection and communication for a holistic and positive approach to life, so it's hard to categorize, but your persuasiveness is a piece of cooperative communication.

All the best,

Ellen Naylor
